Straton a Star in the making!

Straton is a very young watch company that started about a year ago.
They released their first model, the vintage driver chrono through Kickstarter. It was received very well; overall it was great success.

As a vintage chrono lover, I was super excited when they announced their second release, the Curve Chrono;

This watch really attracted me, cushion shaped case, rotating inner bezel, colors combinations; I really loved everything about this watch.

They are running very limited edition with the NE88 Seiko Automatic Chrono; this is a very interesting automatic movement that is rarely used outside the Seiko family.
The regular production will be using the reliable and adorable Seiko Mecha-Quartz VK64 which is very cheap but extremely reliable.

One of the interesting aspect is that they are releasing 2 case sizes; which I’ve never seen before with any micro brand considering the amount of work and the cost associated to run 2 sizes of the same model. Hats off here!

The specs are as follow:
316L stainless steel, polished and brushed surfaces; one version will have DLC coating as well.
Case sizes:
42 mm 47.4 Lug to Lug and 22 mm lug width.
39.5 mm 46.5 Lug to Lug and 20 mm lug width
Case Thickness: 14.5 mm with domed sapphire crystal
Strap: genuine leather or ss mesh including 2 nato straps.
WR: 100 m

The challenge now is which one to pick 🙂
