Vratislavia Conceptum – A Watch is a Work of Art

Vratislavia Conceptum is a Polish watch company that started a couple of years back; they produce very limited models per year, one or two maximum; all their watches are only produced in very limited amounts, as Limited Editions accordingly they are usually get sold out very quickly.

I was able to get myself on their Heritage Chrono V3 preorder list;
They only made 250 watches from the blue version which I opted for; and 150 from the grey version.

The watch arrived after a long anticipated wait, and it was surprisingly nice.

There is a hint of vintage Heuer in the design, as well as Tudor which actually has a model carrying a close name.
But once I put it on my wrist I felt that it has its own character as well.

The blue sunburst dial is brilliant and it catches the light in an amazing way; also the orange second hand makes a very nice contrast in direct sunlight.
The case is a nicely shaped cushion design with nicely brushed top and polished sides; the case finish is one of the best aspects of the watch as well as the dial.

The crown and pushers sit proud and very well sized; they have firm action yet not stiff.
I would have loved a screw-down signed crown but as this price range the current crown does the job perfectly.

The bezel is fixed and have a nice aluminium tachometer insert with a deep blue color.
The case back has a nice car engraved on the back as well as the watch information; although the engraving is a bit rough and I would say that this is an area that needs improvement.

The watch came on a very nice racing leather band with an engraved buckle; at this price range this is a huge plus.
The 42 mm cushion shaped case has a respectively short length, which is about 46 mm lug to lug, which makes the watch sit very nicely on the wrist, and it doesn’t look small or big on most wrists sizes.

Finally this beauty is powered by a Citizen Miyota 6s21 quartz caliber, this particular movement is different from the very famous Seiko meca-quartz, as the Miyota one has a running second hand.
Personally I prefer the meca-quartz, but I know that some others prefer the Miyota as with the running second hand you feel that the watch is livelier.
This is such an amazing and unique watch, it is very affordable, very limited in production, brilliant finish and reliable movement; I couldn’t be happier.
