The Phantom by L&H

I’ve been following Lew & Huey for sometime now; and once they announced their new watch, I felt that I have to have one! So I jumped on it when the campaign started.
The watch arrived before Christmas last year, and I have to say that it was a great Christmas present to myself.

The watch arrived in the famous L&H travel pouch with an extra nato strap. the moment I took it out and removed the plastic I fell in love with it, it is a very nice watch in hand, way beyond the pictures can tell.

And now to the watch details;
The case is fully brushed giving the watch a toolish feel and look, the lugs are curved with a brilliant angularity which make it very comfortable as it hugs the wrist perfectly.

Domed acrylic crystal, drilled lugs with a solid crown, a recipe for a great tool watch.

The bezel is bi-directional with  very crisp action, the stamped steel insert is well executed with a red triangle which complement the vintage vibe and the lumed markers are a plus.
As this is a no-diver so the crown is not a screw down one, although I would have liked it to be, but still the WR rating is 100M which is way more than enough for a pilot inspired watch.

The signed crown is very nice with Sparky the dog engraved.

The case size is 42 mm, with 50 mm total length, but it wears a bit smaller than a regular 42.
One of the best feature is the lumed sandwich dial, with the logo ghost printed, and “Phantom” is printed in red.

The minimal text on the dial gave the watch an elegant style.

The vintage style leather band is very comfortable, soft and padded nicely; it is really good.

The engraved case back is artistically designed and well executed; it is very nicely engraved, way beyond the price point.

This baby is powered by a Seiko NH35 which beats rather slowly at 21,600 BHP, with an excellent accuracy and power reserve, you really can’t go wrong with this workhorse.

The lume on this watch is insane, it reminds me of Timex Indiglo; to me this is the winning feature!

I think this is the one of the best watches produced by L&H, it is extremely well built, with an excellent deign and nice features.
I really love it.
